LFI wins two victories in the National Assembly with a text adopted on land issues in overseas territories and a text on the revaluation of AESH
On October 29, La France insoumise (LFI) successfully adopted two legislative texts in the Assembly, focusing on land ownership in overseas territories and the status of aides for students with disabilities (AESH). The land ownership proposal simplifies the process of acquiring property after a certain period of occupation, reducing the time frame in overseas territories to ten years. The AESH legislation aims to elevate the status of these aides to civil servants, addressing long-standing issues of poverty among them. The left unanimously supported both texts, while the center-right largely abstained, with some members of Les Républicains voting in favor. The Minister of Education acknowledged the need for gradual reform but highlighted significant challenges ahead.
