Limburg becomes the first region in Europe to have a CERN innovation hub in Hasselt: "Important recognition of our ambitions"

A CERN innovation hub will be established at Corda Campus in Hasselt, marking Limburg as the first region in Europe to host such a facility. This hub aims to enhance collaboration between CERN and Belgian businesses, focusing on applying advanced technologies developed at CERN to various sectors, including medical imaging and data processing. Limburg's government plans to invest 3.6 million euros to support this initiative, which is expected to strengthen the region's innovation ecosystem and boost economic growth. The hub will facilitate new research and development projects, ultimately enhancing the competitiveness of local SMEs.
