Salary limits for doctors. The revised bill returns to the Sejm

On Tuesday, the Polish Parliament held the first reading of a bill amending healthcare funding laws, introducing a cap on hourly rates for medical professionals and work hour limits. The Health Committee rejected amendments from the Razem party aimed at increasing hospital funding and protecting workers' rights. A proposal to separate public and private sector work was also dismissed. However, an amendment allowing additional pay for clinical transplant specialists was accepted. Concerns were raised about potential violations of labor rights, particularly regarding contract terminations without notice. The revised bill will be discussed again in Parliament today.
