The Kings and their daughters soak up Mendelssohn and Gutenberg at the concert prior to the Princess of Asturias
The sound of bagpipes filled Oviedo as the Príncipe Felipe Auditorium hosted the pre-award concert for the Princess of Asturias Awards. The Royal Family attended the sold-out event featuring Mendelssohn's Symphony No. 2, performed by the Asturias Symphony Orchestra and the Princess of Asturias Foundation Choir. The concert, titled "The Light of Knowledge," celebrated the impact of the printing press. Notable soloists included sopranos Sylvia Schwartz and Pilar Alva-Martín, and tenor Santiago Ballerini. Among the attendees were various award winners, including Kenichi Yoda and Christina Koch. After the concert, the Royal Family greeted guests before a private dinner.
