Mercedes-Benz profit falls 4.1% until September to four billion

Mercedes-Benz reported a 4.1% decline in profits to €4.037 billion by September, despite a 4.2% drop in revenue to €94.4 billion. The operational result increased by 21.2% to €5.2 billion, driven by sales growth in Europe and the US, as well as electric vehicle sales. CEO Ola Källenius highlighted sustained sales growth but acknowledged increasing market complexities, particularly in China. The passenger car division saw a significant operational result drop of 55.8%. The company revised its profit margin forecasts for 2026 downward due to challenges in China and rising costs.
