BPI profit falls 7% to 363 million euros by September

BPI reported a 7% decrease in profits for the first nine months of the year, totaling 363 million euros. This decline is attributed to two non-recurring effects. In the same period of 2025, there was a gain from the reversal of contributions to the Banking Sector Solidarity Additional, amounting to 18 million euros. Additionally, a negative impact of 35 million euros resulted from the reclassification of the stake in BCI1 in June 2026.
