There are to be fewer positions on the supervisory boards of SIMs and more social housing. There is a project.

The Polish government is reforming social housing initiatives (SIM) following issues identified after the departure of former Minister Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz. The Ministry of Development and Technology has proposed amendments to the law governing SIMs, which are municipal and state-owned companies aimed at building and renting affordable housing. Despite initial funding of 3.5 billion PLN, many SIMs face challenges such as high costs, delays, and inadequate tenant information. The National Property Resource (KZN) has significant control over these companies, which has led to concerns about governance and efficiency. The proposed changes aim to empower local governments and improve the management of these housing projects, ensuring better alignment with community needs and financial capabilities.
