Maarten Spanjer buried in private, but in the presence of friends

Actor and writer Maarten Spanjer was buried in Amsterdam on his 74th birthday, in a private ceremony attended by close friends. His widow, Monique Waterham, shared that Spanjer wished for an intimate funeral, avoiding what he termed 'disaster tourism.' Spanjer passed away at 73 due to cancer and was known for his role in the film 'Spetters' and the TV show 'Taxi.' He married Waterham just five days before his death.
