Maaseik provides youth associations with subsidies for a safer nightlife

The city of Maaseik will provide subsidies to youth organizations to enhance safety during events. Organizations can apply for up to €2,000 to cover costs for professional security, earplugs, drug prevention, or reporting mechanisms for inappropriate behavior. The initiative aims to support youth groups while ensuring safety requirements do not hinder event organization. The subsidies are specifically for parties and concerts organized by youth associations, allowing them to apply for two grants of €1,000 each. Applications will be reviewed by the municipal council.
