Péter Magyar received the Israeli president in Budapest

Hungarian Prime Minister Péter Magyar met Israeli President Isaac Herzog in Budapest, discussing the strengthening of historical, cultural, economic, and defense ties between Israel and Hungary. Magyar accepted Herzog's invitation for a visit to Israel. Herzog previously met with Hungarian President András Baka, emphasizing Hungary's role as a key ally of Israel. He remarked on the value of freedom and the cost of fighting for it. Following the April elections, Magyar had invited Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to Budapest, but Netanyahu faces an arrest warrant from the International Criminal Court, complicating the invitation.
