Péter Magyar dismissed Zoltán Kivés from his position as Deputy State Secretary, effective November 1, 2026, following a proposal from the Minister of Rural Development. Concurrently, Gergely Peresztegi was appointed as the new Deputy State Secretary, effective November 2, 2026. Kivés previously served under the Fidesz government and held the position responsible for municipal affairs under Tibor Navracsics.
