Péter Magyar: We will double the increased family allowance for children with long-term illnesses.

Starting in 2027, the Tisza government plans to double the increased family allowance for children with severe disabilities and the benefits for eligible adults, as announced by Prime Minister Péter Magyar. The increase will affect various support amounts, including a rise from 23,300 HUF to 46,600 HUF for approximately 134,000 children with disabilities, and from 20,300 HUF to 40,600 HUF for 28,595 eligible adults. The budget for 2027 will allocate an additional 300 billion HUF for these increases. The family allowance has remained unchanged since 2008, losing over half its purchasing power during this period.
