Péter Magyar: The president who did not complete his term will not receive benefits for the rest of his life.

A proposed law will ensure that former presidents who do not complete their terms due to issues like plagiarism or treason will not receive lifetime benefits funded by taxpayers. Prime Minister Péter Magyar announced this in Parliament, stating that the upcoming budget will eliminate the last privileges of the old system. Additionally, the budget will remove the significant discretionary funds previously available to former presidents for charitable donations. This follows a recent budget proposal that allocated funds for public donations by former presidents, which Magyar indicated would be revised before the final vote.
