Péter Magyar believes they have managed to remedy Orbán's broken promise to the Egyptian president
Hungarian Prime Minister Péter Magyar hosted Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah el-Sisi in Parliament, discussing cooperation in various sectors. They emphasized the importance of combating illegal migration and resolving international conflicts. A key agreement was reached regarding the delivery of railway cars to Egypt, with Hungary committing to produce 44 additional cars by 2027. The discussions also addressed the financial aspects and guarantees for previously delivered cars. The Dunakeszi Vehicle Repair Plant, which faced bankruptcy issues, is now under MÁV's ownership and is expected to resume operations. Investigations into the plant's financial troubles are ongoing, linked to significant dividends paid to previous owners.
