Hungarian: We support the election of the chief prosecutor candidate

The TISZA faction supports Dr. Péter Fejes's nomination as chief prosecutor, announced by Prime Minister Péter Magyar. Parliament will vote on Fejes this week, requiring a two-thirds majority, which the TISZA faction can provide. This nomination prevents a leadership vacuum at the prosecution, as the only deputy prosecutor, István Lajtár, will retire next month. Fejes previously served as the chief prosecutor in Veszprém County and has a track record of integrity and professionalism. His nomination follows the resignation of his predecessor, Gábor Bálint, in July. Baka András, the president, highlighted Fejes's lack of political ties and his ability to handle complex cases. The previous candidate, Zoltán Szathmáry, received no votes in parliament.
