More than 1,700 suspicious ads removed from platforms after thefts in France

Over 1,700 suspicious listings were removed from online platforms following thefts in France. The Minister of Commerce, Serge Papin, announced that 1,737 listings were taken down and 237 accounts banned after the October 17 protests, during which numerous businesses were looted. Major platforms like Vinted, eBay, and TikTok were involved, with many new products being sold at low prices shortly after the events. Authorities received around 800 reports from these platforms, and about 500 listings are still under investigation. Vinted emphasized its zero-tolerance policy and cooperation with security forces.
