More than 300,000 people displaced in Yemen due to the conflict

Over 300,000 people have been displaced in Yemen due to escalating conflicts, primarily in the last two months. The UN's International Organization for Migration (IOM) urges all parties to protect civilians and ensure safe humanitarian access. Abdusattor Esoev, IOM's mission chief, highlights the urgent need for shelter, food, clean water, and medical assistance. The conflict reignited in July after a period of relative calm, with intensified hostilities following Houthi offensives. The fighting has led to skyrocketing prices for essential goods, particularly in Taiz, where costs have tripled or quintupled. The IOM requires $45 million over the next six months to provide vital assistance.
