More than 41 thousand names from the Security department exposed
A non-governmental organization, Distributed Denial of Secrets (DDOS), has released sensitive data on over 41,000 employees of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. This information was obtained from a hacker group called Department of Peace, which developed a tool named Icepick for detailed searches of employee names and roles. Activist Maia Arson Crimew highlighted the unprecedented insight this data provides into the organizational structure of the DHS, including the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). The release comes amid intensified immigration enforcement under President Donald Trump, which has led to the detention and deportation of many undocumented individuals, including U.S. citizens. DDOS co-founder Emma Best described the leak as extraordinary, revealing key personnel involved in covert operations and forced deportations.
