Man (25) sentenced to 3 years in prison for home invasion in the wrong house in Lille
A 25-year-old man from Mol received a three-year prison sentence, with one year suspended, for his involvement in a violent home invasion in Lille. The incident occurred in March 2025 when four men broke into a victim's home, assaulted him, and demanded access to his cryptocurrency. They fled upon realizing they had targeted the wrong person. The victim was found bound and injured. Only the man from Mol was identified, linked through ANPR camera footage and phone records. He claimed he was coerced into participating, but the prosecution argued he was aware of the plan, citing a message sent prior to the crime. The court ultimately sentenced him and confiscated his vehicle.
