Man who got caught under Belgian train due to stuck backpack has died

A tragic incident occurred at Kalmthout station when a man fell between train cars after being ejected for causing a disturbance. Witnesses reported that he struck the train as it was departing. His backpack became trapped, leading to his fall onto the tracks where he was struck by the train. The victim lost a leg and was resuscitated on-site but later died in the hospital.
