Protesters in Porto received permission from the PSP to stay overnight in Praça D. João I, provided they dismantled their tents. The police clarified that while they could remain, noise must be kept to a minimum. Earlier, police had forcibly dispersed housing rights demonstrations in Lisbon and Porto, resulting in injuries and arrests. The IGAI has initiated an investigation into the police actions, and the Ombudsman has requested urgent information regarding the police response. Protesters are demanding changes to housing laws and increased public housing availability.
