Manovra: 48 milioni in più per il Gcap, il caccia con Londra e Tokyo
Italy, the UK, and Japan are increasing funding for the Global Combat Air Programme (GCAP) to develop a next-generation fighter jet. The budget includes an additional €48 million over two years, with €32.3 million allocated for 2027 and €15.6 million for 2028. These funds will not directly support aircraft design or construction but will cover operational costs of the intergovernmental organization managing the program. The GCAP aims to have a new air combat system operational by 2035, competing with the Franco-German-Spanish FCAS program, which faces industrial disputes.
