At least 64 people have died in the railway tragedy in Spain
The Castilla-La Mancha government reports 64 fatalities from a train accident, with around 80 injured. The incident occurred on a high-speed rail line between Mora and Orgaz when a Renfe train collided with a stationary Iryo train. Initial investigations suggest human error may have contributed, as a signaling system failure led to a temporary halt of trains. Despite this, the Renfe train was allowed to proceed and crashed into the Iryo train. The accident marks Spain's second deadly train incident this year, with the highest death toll since 2013.
