March on Saturday and call for a general strike on November 11

The Acampada de Lisboa has called for participation in a protest against speculation and for housing rights, scheduled for Saturday. The demonstration will start at Marquês de Pombal and end at Praça do Rossio, where people have gathered daily to demand solutions for the housing crisis. Similar protests are planned in Porto and Braga. The movement seeks to reverse rental laws, halt evictions without housing alternatives, and increase public housing. During a recent assembly, participants voted to sleep outdoors after dismantling tents, emphasizing their right to protest. The Interior Minister stated that police will act preemptively to maintain order during these demonstrations, which have spread across various cities following a new rental law approval.
