Mário Ferreira was acquitted of tax fraud related to the sale of the ship Atlântida. The court found insufficient evidence to support the charges brought by the Public Prosecutor's Office. The case involved the ship's purchase by Mystic Cruises for €8.75 million in 2014 and its subsequent sale to International Trade Winds for €11 million in 2025. The ship was later sold to Hurtigruten for €17 million. The prosecution claimed that the sale resulted in an undeclared profit of €3.7 million, leading to an illegitimate tax advantage of approximately €1 million.
