Already more than 550 thousand euros have been raised for the reconstruction of the burned Limoges town hall

Over 550,000 euros have been raised for the reconstruction of the Limoges town hall, which was set on fire during riots. The French Heritage Foundation reported that nearly 5,800 donors contributed, bringing the total to 556,350 euros by Sunday evening, close to the 600,000 euro goal. Marie-José Durand-Servoing, a representative of the foundation, expressed surprise at the rapid response from donors. The funds will be used for preparatory work necessary for restoring parts of the building that were not completely destroyed by the fire. The town hall was set ablaze by a far-left activist known to authorities for previous violent acts against public officials, resulting in the collapse of its clock tower.
