Mariusz Błaszczak questioned regarding Maciej Berek's oath in the Sejm

The Polish Prosecutor's Office is investigating a complaint by Mariusz Błaszczak regarding the appointment of Maciej Berek to the Constitutional Tribunal. Błaszczak claims that the opposition is attempting to unlawfully take control of the Tribunal, undermining the Polish Constitution in favor of EU law. Berek, who was sworn in as a judge, is facing scrutiny over the legitimacy of his oath, which was taken in the absence of the President. The President's office stated that the oath taken in the Sejm is not equivalent to one taken before the President. Błaszczak has expressed concerns about Berek's qualifications and has accused the Sejm's office of committing a crime.
