Marshal of the Łódź Voivodeship: We will be looking for savings. It is inevitable.

The Łódź Agglomeration Railway (ŁKA) has recently gained recognition by reaching the finals of the REGIOSTARS Awards, highlighting its significant impact on regional mobility. The railway has seen a dramatic increase in passenger numbers, from 324,000 in 2014 to 12 million last year. Investments continue with new trains and infrastructure, including a new technical facility and additional train sets expected by 2029. The region is also focusing on developing cycling infrastructure, with plans for 1,900 kilometers of bike paths. Collaboration with PKP is essential for integrating cycling with rail transport. The VeloWarta cycling route is prioritized for its feasibility, while urban mobility projects, including electric buses, are in high demand across the region.
