Matolcsy's lawyer: the investigation documents do not speak of asset loss

Dr. Pál Bátki, lawyer for György Matolcsy, stated that the investigation documents do not indicate asset loss, reflecting Matolcsy's previous claims of no MNB case. Matolcsy is currently detained, with a decision on his potential arrest pending. Alongside him, others including Tamás Sándor and Mihály Valkó were also taken into custody related to significant economic fraud. The investigation involves attempts to transfer assets from the Optima Investment Fund to a private equity fund linked to Matolcsy's interests. This transfer allegedly caused substantial financial harm, exceeding 500 million HUF.
