The international arrest warrant for Ádám Matolcsy has still not been issued

The Budapest Court has not yet issued international arrest warrants for Ádám Matolcsy and György Stofa, despite a request from the Central Investigative Prosecutor's Office. The court must decide on the warrants, which are necessary as the suspects may be outside the EU. Currently, a national arrest warrant is active, allowing police to pursue them. If they return to Hungary, they could be arrested immediately due to this warrant. The investigation involves significant financial fraud linked to the former central bank governor, György Matolcsy, and his associates, who are suspected of causing substantial financial damage through dubious transactions.
