The international arrest warrant has still not been issued for Ádám Matolcsy and his associates.
The Budapest Court has not yet issued international or European arrest warrants for Matolcsy Ádám and Stofa György, suspects in a case involving economic fraud. A domestic arrest warrant was issued last week for Matolcsy Ádám, son of former central bank governor György Matolcsy. The Central Investigative Prosecutor's Office has requested international warrants, with a decision expected soon. Three individuals, including György Matolcsy, have been detained in connection with the case. If the court approves the international warrant, it will be sent to the Ministry of Justice and the International Criminal Cooperation Center for inclusion in databases. Until then, Matolcsy and Stofa can move freely outside Hungary, but would be flagged upon returning.
