All those evacuated from Oleski have arrived in Belarus
All evacuees from Oleski have arrived in Gomel, Belarus, following a ceasefire between Russian and Ukrainian forces. The evacuation began on Friday, facilitated by a truce reportedly brokered by Melania Trump. Hundreds of residents were rescued from the besieged city, which has faced severe shortages of food and medicine. They were first transported to Anapa, Russia, before flying to Gomel. Oleski, once home to 24,000 people, has been heavily bombarded and is currently under Russian occupation, with residents trapped between conflicting forces.
