The 4th block of the Paks nuclear power plant has been repaired and is operating at nominal capacity again.
The fourth block of the Paks Nuclear Power Plant has resumed nominal performance after completing major repairs on November 1. The block was shut down on September 18 for this planned operation, which included refueling and executing a comprehensive maintenance program. This program allows the block to operate continuously for up to 15 months. Meanwhile, the second block was also undergoing major repairs and was shut down on October 28, having already reduced its output by 50% on October 16 due to maintenance. Current output figures show the first block at 511 MW, the third at 515 MW, and the fourth at 507 MW. Recent operational issues included an unexpected turbine shutdown due to a fault signal, which posed additional risks despite a quick repair.
