The evacuation of the residents of Oleski has begun under the ceasefire negotiated by Melania Trump.

Evacuations have begun in Oleski, a city in the Kherson region, as residents seek to leave for either Russian or Ukrainian territories. Russian ombudsman Jana Lantratova and Ukrainian parliamentary faction leader David Arahamija confirmed the operation. Arahamija noted that the Ukrainian delegation arrived safely and started distributing humanitarian aid. Ukrainian ombudsman Dmitro Lubinec is also present, assessing local needs. The ceasefire, which has been in effect for 80 hours, facilitated these evacuations. The number of residents wishing to relocate to Ukraine is reported to be 527, while the Russian side has not disclosed figures for those wanting to go to Russia. The ceasefire agreement was mediated by Melania Trump.
