They would save Lake Palatinus, a working group will be formed by Márk Radnai and others
A working group is being established to save Lake Palatinus, as announced by government commissioner Márk Radnai. Following a successful online consultation regarding the lake's future, responses were received from 35 different municipalities. Local authorities, mayors, owners, and water management experts will collaborate to develop solutions for water replenishment, preserve natural values, and establish usage conditions with assigned responsibilities and funding options. A public forum will follow to discuss professional proposals with residents. Lake Palatinus, located between Esztergom and Dorog, faces challenges such as declining water levels and quality, amid conflicts among various user groups. The lake is known for its tradition of placing a Christmas tree underwater during the holidays.
