Ádám Matolcsy's former business partner spoke out: he knew nothing, he gave no instructions about anything

István Száraz denies involvement in a controversial securities transaction linked to the Hungarian National Bank's foundation assets. He stated he had no role in the preparation or execution of the February 28 transaction and learned about it from the media. Száraz's comments follow the detention of György Matolcsy and the issuance of international arrest warrants for his son and another associate. He emphasized that he has not had any ownership or representation rights in the Quartz Investment Fund Management since May 30, 2024. Száraz claims he is no longer a proxy for the Matolcsy clan and has distanced himself from previous business ties, focusing instead on foreign investment opportunities.
