The Belgrade express will roll into Keleti for the first time.

Direct train services from Belgrade to Budapest and Vienna will commence on December 13, 2026, after a seven-year hiatus due to line upgrades. Eight daily trains will operate, with six to Budapest and two continuing to Vienna without transfers. Ticket prices are still under negotiation, and sales have not yet started. The trains will run at speeds of 200 km/h in Serbia and 160 km/h in Hungary. The Hungarian Minister of Transport indicated that the launch of international services depends on the successful performance of domestic operations starting in late October. Serbia has fulfilled all obligations related to the project, which began in February 2019.
