Météo France lifted its orange alert for rain, flooding, and rising waters after the violent weather that caused one death near Marseille; one person is missing in Haute-Corse.

A severe weather event in southeastern France resulted in significant flooding, leading to one death and a missing person. Heavy rains caused extensive damage, with reports of cars swept away and homes inundated. The rainfall, equivalent to four months' worth in just 24 hours, began on Monday and decreased by Tuesday evening. Emergency services conducted evacuations in affected areas, particularly in Saint-Mitre-les-Remparts and Haute-Corse. In Ghisonaccia, two individuals were swept away by the Fiumorbo river, with one still unaccounted for. The flooding was linked to a cold drop named Adam, which also impacted Spain, causing fatalities there.
