Metropolitano de Lisboa says it is available for dialogue with unions
Metropolitano de Lisboa expressed its readiness for constructive dialogue with unions after they canceled planned strikes. The company emphasized its commitment to public transport safety and quality. Unions had previously raised concerns about minimum service levels set by an arbitration court, which they believe jeopardize safety. Following the cancellation of strikes, metro services will resume normal operations. Union leader Sara Gligó indicated that while the strikes were called off, the unions will continue to advocate for workers' rights and address ongoing issues within the metro system.
