What does a pink cartoon dog have to do with The Exorcist and why are there so many climbing movies lately?

Courage the Cowardly Dog, created by John R. Dilworth, aired from 1999 to 2002 on Cartoon Network. The show follows an elderly couple, Eustace and Muriel, who adopt a pink puppy named Courage, who is terrified of everything. Living on a remote farm, they face various monstrous threats, with Courage often trying to protect them using both clever and foolish methods. The series draws inspiration from the 1956 sci-fi film Forbidden Planet and Dilworth's earlier short film, The Chicken from Outer Space, as well as elements from The Exorcist.
