Before setting off, be sure to gather information

A ceremonial flag-raising will take place at Kossuth Lajos Square, followed by various programs throughout the day. Due to this event, Kossuth Square and surrounding streets will be closed from 5 AM to 8 PM, and the M2 metro station may have restrictions between 3 PM and 5:30 PM. Tram lines 2, 2B, and 23 will only operate to Kossuth Lajos Square, with alternative bus services provided. Additionally, Andrássy Avenue and other nearby areas will be closed from 6 AM to 8 PM, affecting metro and bus services. The BKK recommends using the metro and tram lines 4-6 for travel in the city center, with updates available on their website.
