Migranti, Italia e Spagna concordano lo stop a sospensione Schengen

The interior ministers of Italy and Spain, Matteo Piantedosi and Fernando Grande-Marlaska, agreed not to extend the Schengen suspensions after a phone call. This decision follows a thorough analysis of the situation and aims to enhance information exchange for security within the Schengen area. Last week, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni indicated plans to replace existing measures with new forms of cooperation while ensuring Schengen's functionality. The diplomatic tension began in July after a migrant crisis at Spain's Ceuta enclave, leading to mutual suspensions of Schengen agreements between the two countries.
