Thousands returned to the squares in Lisbon and Porto against police violence and for housing
Thousands gathered in Lisbon and Porto to protest against police violence and demand housing rights following a violent police intervention. The PSP's actions, which resulted in injuries, were condemned as a major attack on democracy. In Lisbon, around five thousand people participated, including families and children, expressing solidarity and determination to continue their fight for housing. In Porto, the crowd exceeded previous mobilizations, with a minute of silence held for the injured. Protesters criticized government officials, particularly the Minister of Internal Administration, for justifying the police's actions. Opposition figures, including MEPs, expressed solidarity with the demonstrators and condemned the police response.
