Wizz Air will withdraw every eighth aircraft from Romania

Wizz Air is withdrawing five aircraft from Romania, affecting operations in Cluj, Timisoara, Craiova, Baneasa, and Iasi. The decision is due to rising fuel costs, with jet fuel prices increasing significantly. This move impacts 172 employees, including pilots and cabin crew, although many may be reassigned to foreign bases. The airline had initially projected a 25% growth in traffic for this year, which has now been revised down to 13%. Despite these challenges, the company remains optimistic about its future prospects.
