Minister Crevits brings the Langestraat bike path dossier in Pajottenland to the Flemish government

Minister Hilde Crevits visited Pajottegem to discuss the merger of Galmaarden, Herne, and Gooik, focusing on local needs and the Langestraat bike path. She noted the unique challenges of merging three municipalities and acknowledged the financial support from Flanders. Mayor Kris Poelaert highlighted the safety issues for cyclists on Langestraat due to the lack of a bike path, emphasizing funding as a barrier to progress. Crevits will bring the bike path dossier to the Flemish government for further consideration. Additionally, she toured the renovated Sint-Pieterskerk, now a library and community space, funded through rural development resources.
