The Ministry of Health will scrutinize fundraising for treatment. "What is being collected for, why it is being collected"

The Polish Ministry of Health plans to introduce public patient cards and a verification mechanism for drug effectiveness as part of the new National Drug Policy. This initiative aims to regulate online charitable fundraising by providing verified information about therapies being funded. Mateusz Oczkowski, director of the Department of Drug Policy and Pharmacy, emphasized the need for a publicly accessible system that details the purpose and status of therapies associated with fundraising efforts. Despite the introduction of around 800 new technologies since 2018, fundraising activities have not decreased, raising concerns about certain campaigns, including those for unapproved gene therapies.
