Minister Klempíř will dismiss Dvořák from the head of the audiovisual fund board

The Czech Ministry of Culture will dismiss Petr Dvořák from the board of the State Fund for Audiovisual Culture due to differing views on fund management and insufficient cooperation in finding savings. Dvořák was appointed in June 2025. The government recently rejected the fund's budget proposal for 2027, with the minister requesting a reduction of approximately 400 million CZK. If the budget is not approved by year-end, the fund will operate under a provisional budget, allowing monthly withdrawals limited to one-twelfth of the 2026 budget. The fund assures that previously allocated film incentives are secure, despite potential delays in disbursement schedules due to the provisional budget.
