Health Minister announces that new system for accessing consultations and surgeries will start in January
The National Access System for Consultations and Surgeries (SINACC) will launch in January after delays due to criticisms from the Medical Association. Health Minister Ana Paula Martins confirmed the start date and mentioned necessary adjustments to previously approved regulations. The Medical Association had raised concerns about transparency and equity in patient registration for surgeries, prompting the postponement of SINACC's implementation, which will replace the current Integrated Management System for Surgery Registrations (SIGIC).
