Minister guarantees payment of overtime to teachers

The Minister of Education, Science and Innovation stated that the payment of overtime hours to teachers is proceeding normally and even better than last year. He clarified that more overtime hours were paid in October for September than in the previous year, dismissing reports of budgetary constraints affecting payments. The minister emphasized that schools must report which teachers worked overtime and the corresponding amounts, assuring that no school has failed to receive payments. Concerns about potential teacher absences due to alleged payment delays have been raised by school administrations and teachers' unions, prompting criticism from the National Federation of Teachers and the National Federation of Education.
