What is Fauda good for?

The fifth season of the Israeli series Fauda features a pivotal scene reflecting on the moral dilemmas of violence amidst the ongoing Israeli-Palestinian conflict. The creators faced challenges after the October 7 Hamas attacks, prompting them to rewrite scripts due to personal losses among the cast and crew. Despite the brutal realities of the conflict, the series aims to maintain its objectivity and depth, which has distinguished it from typical political thrillers. The first four seasons were praised for their ethnographic and informative layers, offering viewers more than just action and tension.
